Path to the dream

I still remember this day (17 February), it’s a special day to me. It was special from two years back. That was the day I traveled to Bangalore for TATA ELXSI Interview. It was not the first time that I was traveling to Bangalore or it was not the first Interview that I was appearing for.

It was the year 2007 and February 16th afternoon, I started from Erode my native in Intercity Express towards Bangalore. It was funny to see people and the expressions they gave when I said I am going Bangalore tomorrow for an Interview; they thought seeking another job with two MNC offer letters in pocket is a foolish act. But they won’t understand that it’s a matter of realizing a dream and choosing your own carrier. They can’t even imagine it because it’s all about the passion and dreams that are in you towards your carrier.

I was traveling for an interview with no idea about the pattern of the paper or the field of work they are involved in the only thing it was driving me was the word TATA. It was my dream to work for India, work for the TATA’s and here I am with an opportunity to realize my dream.

The interview was in RV institute of management, JP Nagar. I was able to few more people going my way for the same interview but none of them was like me, in the sense they had books and were sailing the ocean in the books where as I was without any books.

The crowd was massive, there were around 4000+ people I think, but still I had the hope of clearing things in my way. Some may call it over confidence, some call it arrogance but I call it courage and self belief. I knew what I can do and what I cannot do. That is what makes me strong.

I never felt nervous in any of the previous interviews, but there was pressure on me feeling so tensed because this one is worth my dream and I didn’t wanted to miss it. Even without knowing the pattern and without any preparation I was able to clear the written and was asked to appear on the next day for technical around 10 AM.

The next day too was a piece of cake at the end though I had one and a half hours of technical round with two people bombarding me with questions from either side. One fellow firing C questions and the other launching microprocessor and microcontroller still I was able to defend myself. Was able to clear and it went forward to the final round and walked out as the third fellow with a letter.

The third offer letter(I had Caritor and CTS offer letter before appearing for this interview), it may be third to me but it matters a lot to me and no one can feel the same as me when it comes to this. The other too packages were good and more than this but all I work for is pride and not for money. That day I made myself clear that I will join this and nothing else no matter what.

Here I am after two years living my dream here with happiness and still cherishing that very special day.
