The Amazing Saturday

The Saturday on 27/06/2009 was very special and also fun filled. I had the best time on that day in this whole year or I should say in the last couple of years. June 11, 2009 I finished my two years tenure in Tata Elxsi Limited (TEL). All my colleagues went out for a team lunch and only four of us missed it since we are in an Offshore Development Center (ODC). So we all planned that we will celebrate it on 27/06/2009. I, Nagarjuna Reddy, Phani Kiran and Jani Basha, we four planned for ANGELS AND DEMONS @ Fame Cinemas in Lido Mall.

We booked the tickets on Friday itself, the show was at 11.15. We didn’t even thought about how much fun it we. The day came and we were there @ the mall by 10.45 as we decided earlier. We went to the movie and as expected the movie was good. After the movie was when the real fun started. We guys came out after the movie. We were all in mood for another movie. Jani left as he had to go to his uncle’s house. It was only three of us left I, Phani and Nagarjuna. We decided to go to Terminator. We went back to the queue to get the ticket there was one guy just in front of us in the queue who was asking for availability of tickets till next year and didn’t buy one. Just because of him we missed that show since there were only two tickets left when we enquired and we were three of us. Nagarjuna proposed that we will go to “THE HANGOVER”. We booked the tickets for the 4.30 show.

We had to kill two hours of our time. So we decided that we will go to Bangalore Central and roam there to kill time. We went there and scanned each floor. Virat Kohli and Manish Pandey were there for some shooting. We took few snaps of them and moved to the next floor. We finally decided to have some food. We ordered Pizza’s and got something gooey which they said were Pizza’s uhh… they tasted bad, really bad. By the time we finished our Pizza the time was 4.10. We decided to make the move towards Lido.

We reached Lido by 4.15 and went in. I heard from Nagarjuna that the movie was good. By the time the movie started, just five minutes and then I completely lost the track of the time. It was so interesting and funny. It was a real nice movie, which had simple comedy and a great way of telling a story. That was real mind blowing comedy movie. By the time we came out, Nagarjuna proposed going to Terminator… I was also interested but our bad luck we ran out of tickets. So we decided we will comeback some other day. It was nice to be with friends that too with friends whom are in same frequency as you are in. Thanks guys. Thanks for the good time after a long gap... It was really amazing how the day went… hope we all have lot of days like this to come.
